First Minister Announces Planned Progressive Easing of Restrictions

Scotland's First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, today announced a 'progressive easing' of restrictions in Scotland after the roadmap laid out yesterday by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

In a speech made today at Holyrood, Ms Sturgeon discussed the potential reopening of Scotland's economy - including shops, bars, restaurants, gyms and hairdressers - with the hope that the stay at home restrictions could be lifted on 5 April.

Ms Sturgeon said the Scottish government's strategic framework was 'deliberately cautious' at this stage, and was reliant upon continued positive data and trends.
