SecuriGroup Director Colonel John Kelly MBE, has been appointed to the position of Deacon Convener of the Trades House of Glasgow, a title which dates from 1604. The role of the Deacon Convener is to oversee the work of the 14 ancient Incorporations or Crafts in the City. The Trades House is a centre of excellence for the management of charitable funds. The Deacon Convener is also styled as the 3rd Citizen of the City of Glasgow and during his year of office is invited to attend the meetings of Glasgow City Council.
