Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have previous security or events experience?
No, all required training will be provided for each position, and every member of staff will be provided with regular briefings to ensure you understand your tasks.
In the event you need further support, you will be working closely with experienced supervisors who will be able to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have.
When is the event taking place?
The security requirement is not limited to event days. The event itself takes place across 11 days from August 2nd, however, the security requirement will be approximately 7 weeks. Our operational days will cover from July 12th and finish roughly on August 30th.
Will I need an SIA security licence?
No, we are recruiting both licensed and unlicensed staff for different roles, however, there are licensed positions (which are paid at a higher rate). If you would like to train and apply for a licence, we can discuss how you would do this at the recruitment session.
Are there other events I can be part of, before or after the European Championships?
As a leading UK security organisation, rated in the top 5% by the SIA, SecuriGroup is involved in many major and local events throughout the country.
We have selected a list of events leading up to the European Championships that would be best for new staff to develop their skills ahead of the event.
We are always looking for the best people in the security industry - you can continue to benefit from the wide range of opportunities offered by SecuriGroup.
I don’t live in Glasgow - will accommodation or travel costs be provided?
Decisions on accommodation or travel costs are made on a case-by-case basis. Get in touch with the recruitment team if you have any questions on this topic.
