SecuriGroup were honoured to be invited to the first in a series of Breakfast Briefings hosted by CBRE.
In association with ThisWeekinFM.com, the first briefing was hosted in CBRE Paternoster Square and focused on Counter-terrorism for Facilities Management.
Allan Burnett QPM BSc (Hons) FSyI, SecuriGroup Operations Director, was asked to present to more than 80 Facilities Management professionals on the topic of 'Terrorism In FM'. He was also joined by Chris Phillips GCGI FSyI, formerly of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office.
For anyone managing or directly involved in the management of properties or facilities, the inaugural CBRE Breakfast Briefing detailed the value and need for counter-terrorism practices and measures.
During this time of heightened security, awareness of these measures is increasingly important.
Today I presented at a CBRE breakfast briefing for 80 FM managers in London designed to raise awareness on countering terrorism.
Allan Burnett QPM BSc (Hons) FSyI
My co-presenter was Chris Phillips an authority on the Protect and Prepare elements of CONTEST, the UK's Counter Terrorism strategy.
Together we outlined the terrorist threat and some 'top tips' to mitigate the serious risk that emanates from it. CBRE ran the briefing in partnership with ThisWeekinFM and it was a privilege to be involved.
Mr Burnett joined SecuriGroup, a CBRE approved supplier, as Operations Director in 2010 following a distinguished 30-year policing career, having held positions as Assistant Chief Constable and ACPOS Coordinator of Counter-terrorism.
Being uniquely experienced in counter-terrorism and threat mitigation means Allan is a regular media contributor on counter-terrorism issues.
