SecuriGroup is delighted to have achieved accreditation for the first phase of our very own woodland from the Woodland Carbon Code. This first exciting phase broadens our commitment to being Carbon Net Zero, through the planting of over 2,000 native woodland trees in Perthshire, Scotland.
With a desire to not only eliminate our environmental emissions, but also protect indigenous wildlife, and preserve valuable ecosystems, the forest will promote bio-diversity, and provide additional woodland habitat.
The Woodland Carbon Code (WCC) is the quality assurance standard for woodland creation projects in the UK. Backed by the UK Government, the forest industry, and carbon market experts, the Code is unique in providing woodland carbon units and recognising high standards of sustainable forest management.
As of 2021, SecuriGroup is Carbon Net-Zero (read more), achieved through ongoing sustainable business practices and efficiencies. As one of the world's first 100 companies to join the Climate Pledge movement (read more), and as a holder of ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, SecuriGroup represents the wishes of our people and the goals of our clients in that we can all do a bit more for our planet.
